The Family story
The mind goes back in time… the spirit is intertwined with the past… childhood memories impact the present and remain engraved in it!
Them… our grandparents Angelo and Emilia, sparkling and passionate, deeply dedicated to work and animated by their boundless passion and joy and genuine tradition…
Them… they stand tall and proud in their simplicity, made up of a small production and marketing of wine, oil, wheat…
Them… with their love and spirit instilled in us, humble successors, the passion, the attachment, the determination to continue and increase the family business.
Then the father, Biagio, our leader to whom we can always look up to…, the primary heir of the family tradition that has taken up the heritage and with the stubbornness, foresight and fighting spirit that distinguishes him… throughout all of his work, he first strengthened the story of our family and then increased and innovated with the sharp eyes of those who envision the future, without ever forgetting their roots.
It is thanks to our father that tradition has taken UP the right direction, and attracted the right propelling forces that have allowed us to cross regional borders and arrive… in Tuscany -a land of excellence and of our family history of wine- a mandatory landing place for a journey of passion that starts from afar, and that, as in most beautiful stories, dreams of reaching the highest positions.
And, finally, here we are, Luca and Angelo, the witnesses of this long family tradition, with the arduous and responsible task of collecting the inheritance taken on; stimulated by pride and the awareness of wanting to take OUR FAMILY HISTORY higher and higher. From grandfather Angelo and grandmother Emilia (from which the name of our wine takes after) and from our father Biagio the empowering legacy that materializes with the creation of “Cantina Donna Emilia” in 2013. It is here that our wine takes on the scent of history, the aroma of tradition, and the taste of FAMILY.
It is the story of a wine full of love… it is this story of a love that blossomed and never ended… it is the story of a wave that comes from afar and that with its energy broke on us, overwhelming us with passion.
